The brief

Toupret offer quality fillers and expert advice for professional painters, decorators, DIYers and those in the construction industry.

Their products originate in France, which is where their biggest customer base is. When Toupret UK approached us they were keen to grow their brand in the UK beyond their professional audience.

They needed a strategy which grew awareness, celebrated professionals and encouraged new audiences to seek out their products.

 

The challenge

Toupret had a strong presence within many European countries and was increasing it’s market size in the UK. They wanted a social presence to support and reflect that, while building brand awareness beyond their traditional professional painter and decorator audience.

The challenge was to continue to reach that market, while also opening the brand up to DIYers and the construction industry across the UK.

Establishing brand awareness, driving traffic to the website and encouraging new audiences to seek out Toupret at their local merchants were the key metrics. Toupret do not sell direct so building a community of enthusiastic users is the key!

 

Our approach 

Working with Toupret since 2019 we have become an integral extension of the marketing team as they’ve grown the business, expanded their range and undergone a rebrand.

We’ve supported them throughout, starting the relationship by developing a business focused social media strategy which targets the pain points and motivations of their core audiences.

Using content which encourages engagement and generates social proof in the painting, decorating and building community we’ve achieved yearly increases in social media reach, engagement and website traffic,
while working hard to keep up with the latest trends and reducing advertising costs month on month.

At the heart of our strategy are Toupret’s customers and as we’ve grown we’ve begun to bring those customers into our plans, building an advocacy programme that benefits both Toupret and the professionals and DIYers using their products.
